Photographer Norbert Schoerner was born in Bavaria and moved to London in 1989. His first commission was for The Face, which he received two weeks after his arrival.

He has also been involved in unique collaborations with architects Herzog and de Meuron for the Prada Tokyo Store, and Future Systems for the Selfridges in Birmingham. Schoerner is working on a feature film, ‘False Dawn’. His first monograph, ‘The Order of Things’ was published by Phaidon in 2001, and his second monograph is expected in 2006.
